Journals.  We've all had them.  More often than not, they were cheap little things that got lost so frequently that having two or three on hand was mandatory.  We all know the real journals were the ones that had equally cheap locks on them to keep parents and siblings out.  A shame that lock never stopped mom's bobby pin.  As people grow, they typically grow out of keeping a journal, diary, log.  There simply isn't enough time to do it, you don't want to recap mundane events, or you just don't know what to write about.

That's the beauty of Writr.  Every day it will give you several prompts every day to help fill up that journal.  Even if you know what you want to write, sometimes that prompt can bring about something most unexpected and profound.  If it doesn't?  Well, you can always fill out a blank page.

As you start to use the app, you'll fill it with all kinds of personal pleasantries.  Writr allows for tagging of posts, making each one easily searchable.  You can also view posts through a calendar or bookmark the extra special ones.  Want to relive the day you met that special someone?  It couldn't be any easier.

Writr has recently introduced syncing, which does require users to sign in with their Microsoft account.  Since the app is solely for this platform (turn about is fair play, iOS users) and a Microsoft account is required for any store purchase, this shouldn't be an issue.  Bear in mind, that at the time of this writing, sync is still in beta.

I'm a firm believer in leaving a legacy and exploring new avenues in writing.  I've kept a journal off and on for my entire life.  I couldn't tell you where any entries are that exist outside of this blog.  I think Writr could help with that.  How much would you love to read about the life of a missed loved one from their perspective?  What about starting that autobiography?  You can always start a journal of your own, but Writr certainly makes it easier.
