 Netflix's adaptation of Neil Gaiman 's  The Sandman is drawing closer to release. To help usher excitement for the upcoming series, Netflix has released a teaser trailer. At the time of this writing, there still isn't a release date. "Dreams shape the world." A wizard attempting to capture Death to bargain for eternal life traps her younger brother Dream instead. Fearful for his safety, the wizard kept him imprisoned in a glass bottle for decades. After his escape, Dream, also known as Morpheus, goes on a quest for his lost objects of power. Tom Sturridge heads up the cast as Dream.   Final Fantasy VIII is one of the more controversial titles in the Final Fantasy series. It is certainly one of the least favorites among fans for a variety of reasons. The new Draw system came under a lot of fire for being tedious. The story is what irked many after the masterpiece that was Final Fantasy VII. In short, it was a love story with a Mary Sue for the main character that had similar sci-fi elements. But what if everything you knew about the story of Final Fantasy VIII was a lie? What if Squall died at the end of disc one? That's exactly what the site SquallsDead.com proposes. At the end of disc one, Squall and company commence the assassination attempt on the Sorceress Edea in Deling City.   Papa Emeritus IV Swedish horror metal icons Ghost are back. The band has recently become very active on social media, which historically means a new album is about to drop. The last album was 2018's Prequelle  which introduced fans to the new frontman, Cardinal Copia.  Everything kicked off on September 19th with Ticketmaster posting an updated banner image for Ghost. It showed off an updated look for Cardinal Copia's recent promotion to Papa Emertius IV. Noticeably missing are Copia's sideburns, mustache, and nose paint. This wouldn't be the first time Ghost has redesigned a mask. Papa Emertius III also saw a mask redesign between his introduction and when the third album, Meliora , was released. The next bit of promotional material to drop was episode 9 in the "behind the scenes" series on YouTube. Episodes 1-8 premiered alongside the release of the last album, so it's safe to say that with this latest upload, the 5th album is right around the corner...

During its Gamescom presentation, Volition announced a Saints Row reboot. Titled simply Saints Row , the fifth entry in the series takes fans back to the origins of an entirely new cast of Saints. Being a reboot means that we will have a new setting, new story, and new cast of characters. The community hasn't taken kindly to the trailer, for reasons that are beyond me. While it would have been nice to see a tie-in with some original Saints like Gat, Shaundi, or Pierce, a reboot is the only move that makes sense here. The last Saints  game was Saints Row IV  released back in 2013. By the end of the game, the Saints had literally taken over the universe. From a narrative perspective, there is nowhere else to go. Personally, I'm okay with scaling back and rebuilding. Just because it's a reboot, doesn't mean we won't see the same sort of raunchy humor and gameplay that fans of the series love.
