Netflix Drops Trailer for Season 3 of 'Narcos: Mexico'

 

Netflix has begun building hype for season 3 of Narcos: Mexico. The streaming service announced the premiere date of November 5, 2021, with a teaser a month ago. Today, they dropped the first official trailer for the third and final season, much to the delight of fans.

"What I'm doing here...is building an empire."


Narcos: Mexico was created by Carlo Bernard, Chris Brancato, and Doug Miro. It has had several directors including Andres Baiz, Amat Escalante, Alonso Ruizpalacios, Josef Kubota Wladyka, and Marcela Said. There is a bevy of writers involved: Carlo Bernard, Chris Brancato, Doug Miro, Eva Aridjis, Johnny Newman, Terrence E. Poppa, Clayton Trussell, Eric Newman, Ashley Lyle, Bart Nickerson, Andrew Black, Jessie Nickson-Lopez, Scott teems, and Alec Ziff.

Scoot McNairy (Argo), Diego Luna (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), and José Maria Yazpik (Polvo) head the series. They are joined by Fermín Martínez (The Mexican), Alejandro Edda (The Forever Purge), Alfonso Dosal (The Color of Passion), Fernanda Urrejola (Cry Macho), Teresa Ruiz (Here on Earth), Manuel Masalva (La Guzmán), Clark Freeman (We Go On), Matt Letscher (The Flash), Michael Peña (Ant Man), Joaquín Cosio (The Suicide Squad), Tenoch Huerta (Spectre), Gerardo Taracena (Apocalypto), Julio Cesar Cedillo (Sicario), Gorka Lasaosa (Illegal Woman), and Andrés Almeida (Ricochet).


Since the debut of the first season, Narcos has been a critical and commercial success. The series follows the origins of the Mexican Drug War. Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo (Diego Luna) unifies the several territories of smaller, independent marijuana growers and dealers into a mighty empire. After the murder of DEA agent, Kiki Camarena, the DEA brings in agent Walt Breslin to find and bring in Gallardo and his associates. Season 3 promises to be just as action-packed and drama-filled as the first 2 seasons.
